In 2023, more than 80 km of rivers were restored in new regions of Russia

In 2023, work began on a comprehensive survey and restoration of reservoirs in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
Trunks of sunken trees (firewood), tens of thousands of tons of sediments and debris were extracted from river beds. As a result, the free flow of waters has been restored in the treated reservoirs, the probability of flooding of settlements located along the shores during floods has been reduced, and the environmental situation has generally improved.
Employees of Rosvodresurs cleared silted and overgrown areas of the riverbeds of the Kalmius, Mius, Lugan, Olkhovaya, Krynka, Molochnaya, Kalanchak and Derkul rivers.
In the Donetsk People's Republic, the Krynka River was put in order near the village of Beloyarovka and the village of Nizhnekrynskoye. About 1,500 tree trunks that obstructed the flow and about 50,000 m3 of bottom sediments were removed here. 16 tons of garbage and 660 pieces of firewood were recovered from the Kalmius River near Donetsk.
In the Luhansk People's Republic, the riverbed of the Derkul River was cleared in the vicinity of the village of Gorodishche and in the village. Belovodsk, and now it can again be called one of the most ecologically clean rivers in the region. In addition, sections of the Olkhovaya, Lugan and Mius rivers were cleared of debris and sediments.
In the Zaporozhye region, a section of the Molochnaya River, the largest river in the northwestern Azov region, was cleared.
In the Kherson region, a section of the Kalanchak River near the North Crimean Canal was put in order.
