Eco projects that changed the world!

Today we want to share with you a few examples of projects aimed at preserving nature, which cannot fail to arouse respect:1.jpg№1 Useful initiative with tree planting, the author of which was a 9-year-old schoolboy from Germany Felix Finkbeiner. The boy set a goal of planting 1 million trees and was able to infect other teenagers with his enthusiasm. In a few years, the Plant for the Planet project has achieved amazing results: in 2011, Felix spoke at the UN, and by 2017, more than 14 billion trees were planted by members of the social movement. Now their goal is 1 trillion, 150 seedlings for each inhabitant of the planet.

2.jpg№2 Everest is the highest point on the planet, attracting thousands of extreme athletes from all over the world. The excess of tourists creates an environmental problem: more and more garbage accumulates along high-altitude routes and in tent camps. To solve the problem, the Nepalese authorities obliged climbers climbing above the base camp (5,300 km) to take out at least 8 kg of garbage from the mountain. Constant actions also help, for example, this year 11 tons of garbage were collected by activists.

3.jpg№3 The Philippines is a beautiful Asian country that has been severely affected by illegal logging. Previously, the forest occupied more than 70 % of its territory, and now this figure barely reaches 20 %. One of the initiatives to prevent environmental problems was the publication of a law according to which children must plant 10 trees before their graduation. Every year, students will be able to plant more than 175 million new trees, and attracting them to such a useful activity will teach them to take care of nature.

4.jpg№4 In recent years, more and more turtles are becoming carriers of crustacean parasites. Under their weight, the reptile can not eat or swim, it is thrown on the shore, where it is doomed to a slow death. In Dubai, we extended a helping hand to our younger brothers and opened a rehabilitation center where specialists and volunteers take care of injured animals. Famous people do not remain on the sidelines. For example, tennis player Novak Djokovic is a sponsor of the center. After recovery, local turtles are released into the natural environment.

5.jpg№5 Few people think about what fate awaits those balloons and lanterns that are launched into the sky on holidays. Environmentalists have long sounded the alarm: such garbage pollutes nature (the ball decomposes for at least 4 years) and causes the death of animals. I am happy that there are still people who are not indifferent, such as Urfu students who refused to launch balloons at graduation and called on everyone to pay attention to the preservation of the environment. Now the authorities of Petrozavodsk and Saint Petersburg did not stand aside and introduced a ban on the use of balloons and sky lanterns at Proms.

6.jpg№6 2 friends from Australia are tired of surfing, bumping into plastic bottles and bags in the water. They invented a device that catches garbage floating in the water, and raised start-up capital from caring people on a crowdfunding platform. Now such cute and useful buckets are installed on the wharves and shores of more than 20 countries around the world.

And finally a few less mass, but clearly showing a love of nature acts:

7.jpgThe Lawson store in Matsuyama, Japan, turned off the illumination of the first letter in the name so as not to disturb the hatched swallow Chicks.

8.jpgAnd in Saitama, a Japanese police officer built a cardboard device to prevent the swallow Chicks from breaking when they fell out of the nest. I also put up warning signs everywhere.

Through joint nature conservation, we reduce the negative impact on the environment. Take the motto of Joan Of Arc: "If not me, then who?» Start small. Start with ourselves.

With love,
Your " Notivory»
