Eco-evening with Notivory: love and friendship between a human and a wild animal

Dear Friends, we invite you to spend an eco-evening in the cultural and educational space with the library and cafe "Bukvodom". You will find a film screening and a fascinating conversation with an expert of the Notivory Fund.

The theme of our evening: love and friendship between a man and a wild animal.

We will find out whether wild animals can be tamed, how best to handle them, and what kind of relationship a person should have with nature in General.

The film "the Girl and the Fox" (Le Renard et l'enfant) from Director and screenwriter Luc Jacquet takes the audience to a picturesque corner of nature, where a strong friendship grows between an ordinary little girl and a wild Fox.456.pngThis story is about the relationship between man and nature. Lulu, a 10-year-old girl, lives in a farmhouse lost in the mountains of Eastern France. One fall, returning from school, she notices a young Fox hunting. The meeting excited Lulu and she wants to see the Fox again. The girl begins to look for a new meeting with the animal, studies everything about foxes, reads books about them. And one day it happens — Fox and Lulu become friends and are not separated all summer. One day, the girl makes a Fox collar and brings it to the house. But the freedom-loving animal makes it clear that friendship and ownership are not the same.

The film will be followed by a discussion with Margarita Kunkova, Executive Director of the Notivory wildlife conservation Foundation. The following topics will be discussed during the discussion:

1.         Which animals in the modern world are more "popular to tame";

2.         Reasons why it is not recommended to tame wild animals;

3.         Foods that feed animals and how they affect certain animals.

On February 22, at 18: 00 pm, we are waiting for you at:
