«Let's save the Red Book birds of Russia together!»
Friends, the Project for the conservation of Red-book birds of the Vladimir region has come to an end. Our Team would like to thank everyone who took part and watched us with interest.
Recall that within the framework of the Project "Let's save the Red Book birds of Russia together!" we:
- We conducted a research expedition in the water area, as well as in the territory adjacent to an artificial reservoir formed as a result of the construction of a hydraulic structure on the Simka River, near the village of Matveishchevo, Yuriev-Polsky district
- The territory of the reservoir with a total area of at least 30 hectares was surveyed
- Identified the places of potential nesting of birds
- Artificial nests were installed, as well as information notices and warning signs for owners of water transport.
- We developed a presentation material for elementary school teachers and conducted eco-lessons for students of Simskaya school Yuryev-Polsky district
- A children's collective drawing contest was held, and the winners were taken on an exciting excursion to the "Museum of Nature" of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve.
- We organized an environmental campaign and together with volunteers cleared the shoreline of the reservoir, with a length of more than 2 km.
- We held an online panel discussion with the involvement of experts in the field of ecology and environmental protection, representatives of environmental organizations in order to consolidate efforts to improve the ecological culture of the population and exchange experience.
- A short film was made about a project for the local conservation of Red Book birds that have settled next to a person.
The Notivory Environmental Foundation expresses its gratitude to the Presidential Grants Foundation for supporting the Project "Let's save the Red Book Birds of Russia together!"
