Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the DPR and the Notaivory Foundation

On May 15, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the DPR and the Wildlife Conservation Assistance Fund "Notivory" on the need to coordinate cooperation in environmental and radiation safety issues on the territory of the DPR.

It was signed by Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the DPR – Minister of Coal and Energy of the DPR Andrey Chertkov and member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Vladimir Fedin.

"Despite the current tense situation in the Republic, issues related to ecology and nature protection do not lose their relevance. Especially in such an industrial region as Donbass, where coal mining continues. We hope that now we will actively cooperate in the field of environmental protection," the representative of the Foundation stressed.

The memorandum outlines an agreement on the establishment of a working group to coordinate the preparation of a roadmap for a number of activities, including the assessment of the radiation situation in the territory of the DPR, as well as to promote the effectiveness of measures taken to maintain a high level of a favorable environment.
