Notivory Foundation implements the project «Donbass Extraordinary»

Within the framework of the project, unique protected areas of the DPR will be studied and presented.

The Nature Protection Fund "Notaivori" has started the implementation of the project "Donbass Extraordinary". The purpose of the project is to monitor the environmental situation in the specially protected natural territories of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as to create a virtual tour. One of the objects of the virtual tour will be "Khomutovskaya steppe – Meotida". Experts in the field of nature protection will make reports on the environmental situation in the Donbas, existing problems and ways to solve them at the exhibition-conference.

In addition, a contest of photographs and drawings will be held within the framework of the project. The exhibition will feature the best works of professional and amateur photographers, as well as children from 4 to 18 years old living on the territory of the DPR. The winners will be selected in three categories: "Best mobile shooting", "Best Professional Frame" and "Best Drawing".

"Khomutovskaya steppe – Meotida" is a biosphere specially protected natural area, an object of the nature reserve fund. The reserve is considered the pearl of Donbass and is a unique combination of pristine nature, cultural and historical heritage of the region. It is home to a diverse flora and fauna, many of which have a protected status.

The project is being implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Fund.
