The Notivory Foundation received support from the Presidential Grants Fund for the Donbass Extraordinary project

On March 1, 2023, the team of the Notivory Foundation starts implementing the project.

The main goal of the project is to assist the civilian population of Donbass by popularizing the domestic ecotourism of the Russian Federation and providing information about the ecology of Donbass, its problems and ways to solve them through an exhibition – conference dedicated to environmental protection, as well as by creating a virtual tour of the specially protected natural territories of the Donetsk People's Republic.

More detailed:

The historical, cultural and natural heritage of Donbass needs to be popularized. In order to learn more about the region, within the framework of the project, an ecologist will travel to the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic for the purpose of expert monitoring for a subsequent speech at a charity exhibition-conference dedicated to the nature of Donbass. Within the framework of the project, a charity exhibition and conference will be organized, including presentations by experts in the field of ecology and environmental protection. The event will be held with the participation of invited experts from the Donetsk People's Republic, representatives of environmental organizations, representatives of environmental authorities, media personalities. During the conference, experts will be able to exchange experiences, share tips and, possibly, find ways to solve environmental problems existing in the region. The online broadcast of the conference will allow you to get information and learn to a wide audience about the region: its extraordinary beauty, unique nature, culture, as well as the opportunity to assist, assist and support the heritage of Donbass.

Within the framework of the project, a contest of photographs and drawings will be held, which will be presented at the exhibition. Professional and amateur photographers, as well as children from 4 to 18 years old living on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, will be given the opportunity to share their vision of the nature of the region. The contest will become a kind of "island of tranquility" for those who are now in a difficult life situation. Photographers and children will be able to escape from the events taking place in their native lands for a while and take part in competition. And for an audience that has not heard about these places before, the event will be an opportunity to get acquainted with them. The best works will be placed at the exhibition. The winners will be selected in three categories: "Best mobile shooting", "Best professional frame", "Best Drawing". Moreover, the children who took part in the competition will receive gifts prepared jointly with Relief Center LLC, a partner of the Foundation. All the works presented at the exhibition will be decorated in gift albums, which will be presented to the guests.

Following the results of the expedition, which will be held on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, a virtual tour of specially protected natural territories will be created. The creation of a virtual tour of these places accessible to everyone will not only fulfill an ecological and educational function, but also popularize the historical and cultural heritage of Donbass. The tour will allow the general public to see specially protected natural areas online and attract the attention of Russian residents to potential areas of domestic ecotourism.

The successful implementation of the project will help the civilian population and defenders of Donbass, exchange experience between experts in the field of ecology, popularize the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Donbass among the population of the Russian Federation, as well as establish links between environmental organizations of Russia and representatives of the region for further productive cooperation.

The conditions for the contest of photographs and drawings and the requirements for the competition works are set out in the Regulations.

The project is being implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
