«Volzhanka» has shown itself well in the work

An operational visit of state inspectors to the protected area took place. With the onset of the navigation season at the Sayano-Shushenskoye reservoir, the state inspectors of the reserve began water patrolling. In addition, the boat "Volzhanka 46 fish" was used among other equipment of the reserve in the liquidation of a natural fire.

The state inspectors noted that the new boat proved to be a functional, reliable and comfortable watercraft.

Recall that the new boat "Volzhanka 46 fish" was purchased for the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve by the Notivory Wildlife Conservation Fund in 2021. The boat was transferred to the reserve for the organization of patrolling the water area of the Sayano-Shushensky reservoir, as well as for the mobility of the task force during raid activities on the territory of the reserve and in its protected zone.

The length of the eastern border of the reserve, passing through the reservoir of the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station, is about 150 km. Yenisei is a public road.
All passing vehicles are required to register at the reserve's cordons – Golaya, Kerema, Sugur, and present a pass. However, there is a rather large distance between the cordons, and there are a large number of river bays on the left and right sides of the reservoir. This fact leads unconscious citizens to violate the protected regime. Therefore, much attention is paid to water patrolling in the reserve and inspectors often go "in pursuit" of watercraft that have not been registered at the cordon.

There are several months of the shipping season ahead and the new boat will be actively used by state inspectors in carrying out water patrols, including joint raids with law enforcement officials, as well as in organizing hiking raid events in the reserve and in its protected area.
